Colin Smith and Tahmiene Momtazi founded Brave Cellars in the Fall of 2017. The husband-and-wife team are committed environmentalists and winemakers residing in Oregon's Willamette Valley. The mission of Brave Cellars is to produce elegant and accessible representations of Oregon Pinot Noir. Committed to embracing adventure and the unknown, each wine represents a unique profile and uncompromising standard for quality. Maysara Winery was founded by the Momtazi family to showcase their fruit, but also to involve the next generation. Tahmiene Momtazi has been the winemaker since 2007. Brave Cellars wines are 100% sourced from Momtazi Vineyard, an acclaimed Demeter-certified Biodynamic vineyard in the McMinnville AVA. Momtazi Vineyard is nestled near the entrance to the Van Duzer corridor in Oregon’s Coast Range, enabling a unique confluence of high breezes, dryer vines, and robust tannin structures. Two Roads and Less Traveled are first inceptions from Brave Cellars, made to serve as sophisticated and accessible representations of Oregon Pinot Noir.
