Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay

Region: Burgundy, France

Farming: Organic

This family-run estate was created in 1902 and produces Crémant de Bourgogne and Bourgogne wines in the Châtillonnais region, on 10 hectares of vines. The estate works to protect the soil, with a focus on agroecology, and has HVE certification. This custom bottling for the guys at Transatlantic is produced by Domaine Brigand based in Massingy. Massingy is located in the Cote Chatillonnais, just below the southern border of Champagne. Here they own a fully walled vineyard that has been planted to vine for the production of wine for around 1,000 years; dating back to the monks of Chatillon Sur Seine. The vineyard is not certified organic but has been farmed without chemicals for many years. The wine is a blend of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay | native yeast fermented & receives no dosage. There is serious value here. Although this isn't true Champagne--believe me, Champagne drinkers should rejoice.

Food Pairing: This bottle will be great as an aperitif while you entertain and also great as a celebratory bottle of bubbles with your holiday festivities.
